Why is Motsi Mabuse not on Strictly Come Dancing tonight?
VIEWERS may have noticed that Strictly's judging panel is missing one familiar face.
Coronavirus has wreaked havoc with tonight's show once again – as Motsi has been forced to self-isolate for 14 days.
Where is Motsi Mabuse?
Motsi took to Twitter on last Thursday to write: "Hi Guys – Earlier this week I needed to travel to Germany for an urgent reason.
I will of course be following the UK Government guidelines and self-isolating for 14 days.
I'll be watching from home and by the power of technology, should be in your living rooms.
"Watch out though, I'll be doing my own hair and make-up!"
When is she back on Strictly Come Dancing?
In line with the government's Covid rules, Motsi will have to undertake a 14-day self-isolation period.
The star was pictured flying home to Germany for an 'essential' trip on November 10, but it is not known when she will return.
So we won't be seeing Motsi for at least two weeks on the show.
Who has replaced her on Strictly?
In her announcement, Motsi implied that she would be appearing on the show via video link, like her fellow judge Bruno Tonioli.
But it is not known if Motsi's scores will count in the official tally.
Pro dancer Anton Du Beke will fill in for Motsi on Strictly's ballroom judging panel for another week.
BBC Strictly tweeted: "We are pleased to announce that the King of Ballroom Anton du Beke is stepping into our judging panel this weekend. Good luck, Anton!"
Before his new role was announced, Anton was asked if would consider being a judge on podcast Driven Celebrities.
He responded: "In a heartbeat,
"I wouldn't hang up the shoes at all, because I love being out in front and performing.
"I do have a bit of time on my hands now, so I don't know of a better way to fill it quite frankly.
"If that opportunity came up, wouldn't it be nice?
"I'm forever pert and ready. I'm starched to an inch of my life, ready for the nod."
