Britain’s first gay dad ‘planning to have twins with daughter’s ex-boyfriend’
The UK’s first gay dad who recently split from his husband of 32 years is planning to have twins – with his daughter’s ex-boyfriend.
Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, 50, separated from his hubby Tony, 55, after falling “head over heels” for 25-year-old Scott Hutchinson.
He now wants to have twins with his new partner through a surrogate mother, on top of the five children he already has.
The couple are planning to fertilise an egg each to be carried by the surrogate which, should both embryos survive, could result in twins.

Their already-chosen surrogate is set to be inseminated in the next three weeks.
Scott was previously in a relationship with Barrie’s 19-year-old daughter Saffron.
But in another bizarre twist, the Drewitt-Barlows and Scott also all currently live under the same roof.
And Tony has even agreed to be the children's godfather.

Barrie admitted the set-up is 'unorthodox', however, he insists it works for his family.
He told Mail Online: "I don't want there to be any secrets and I want to get any negativity out of the way before our babies arrive.
"Yes, it is unorthodox, but we are a loving family and our priority is to have a stable home for our kids and what is now an extended family.
"It works for us – and if people are shocked, well that's their problem not ours."

Barrie and Tony were registered as parents in 1999 and lived in luxury in Florida, US, after making millions through their surrogate business.
He had been in a platonic relationship with Tony since his cancer diagnosis in 2006.
The businessman developed feelings for his assistant Scott when his husband was going through treatment.
The youngster became a “shoulder to cry on” as Tony, who is in remission, battled cancer.
