Estate agent, 20, dobs herself in after crashing her car while driving four and a half TIMES blood alcohol limit

A SOZZLED estate agent dobbed herself into cops after crashing her car while more than four and half times the legal limit.

Lauren Monaghan, 20, was driving home in the early hours when she slammed her Vauxhall Adam into a tree.

The estate agent then phoned police to say she had crashed into a parked car then the tree while under the influence of alcohol.

Officers found she had 99 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres – four and half times the legal limit in Scotland of 22.

Monaghan has now been fined £1,000 and banned from driving for 16 months after pleading guilty to driving with excess alcohol, Daily Record reports.

Falkirk Sheriff Court heard how Monaghan was driving through Falkirk on November 27 last year when she smashed into a parked car.

She then hit the tree and called the police to turn herself in.

Simon Hutchison, defending, told the court the incident was a "really stupid one-off".

He also confirmed the estate agent has just got a new job but will struggle to meet clients with her licence removed.
