Executive victimised by bosses after accusing one of boasting about pal's manhood at party

AN executive was victimised by bosses after she accused one of boasting about the size of a friend’s manhood at a party.

Angela Dawson, 53, said CEO Chris Short introduced her to a pal saying: “Have you met my friend, he has a massive penis?”

But after she complained, bosses closed ranks and forced her out.

Ms Dawson rose to be a director just three years after joining Concept Information Technology.

But she accused the company of sex discrimination, telling a hearing that at the same party Mr Short touched her bottom.

Angela went on stress-related sick leave and resigned in June 2019.

At a Birmingham tribunal, judge Mark Butler dismissed that claim as she had left it too late.

But he ruled bosses at the West Midlands business “closed ranks on her” and treated her with hostility and that she was constructively dismissed.

He said: "Ms Dawson raised discriminatory allegations in a series of protected acts, and (managers) decided from the outset that the allegations were false and entered, what can only be described as, defensive mode."

Compensation will be awarded at a later date.
