Kamala Harris' communications director among two Biden campaign members with Covid as VP nominee cancels travel
TWO members of Joe Biden's campaign have tested positive for Covid.
The Biden party members tested positive for Covid on Wednesday night.
The campaign confirmed on Thursday morning that Senator Kamala Harris’ communications director, Liz Allen, and a traveling staff member for her travel to Arizona tested positive after that October 8 trip.
Harris and Biden spent several hours together that day through multiple campaign stops, private meetings and a joint appearance in front of reporters at an airport.
They were masked at all times in public, and aides said they were masked in private, as well.
Biden and Harris have each had multiple negative tests since then.
However, since the diagnosis, Harris's travel has been canceled until Monday.
Harris was scheduled to travel Thursday to North Carolina for events encouraging voters to cast early ballots.
The campaign has confirmed that it has begun contact tracing to notify everyone who came into contact with the individuals.
The news comes just weeks after Trump and several members of his campaign tested positive for the virus.
