M25 fire – Motorway lanes closed after van catches fire at rush-hour

Drivers have been hit with delays near Junction 26 and 25 near Enfield, North London.

Tailbacks lasting 15 miles are stacking up along the busy stretch after the blaze erupted on the A10.

Dramatic pictures on social media show the van engulfed in flames and dark smoke billowing across the road.

Lanes two, three and four are closed and emergency services are on the scene.

Highway England tweeted: "1 (of 4) lane is now open on the #M25 anti-clockwise between J26 and J25 near #Enfield
#WalthamCross due to a vehicle fire. @ECFRS are at scene. Delays back to J27 #M11 junction."
