Man arrested in Queens mom’s stray-bullet murder

The man whose stray bullet allegedly killed an innocent Queens mom in her bedroom has been arrested, police said.

Issam Elabbar, 31, of Queens, was nabbed Saturday and charged with murder for the death of Bertha Arriaga, a mother of three, according to cops.

Arriaga’s teenage son found her bleeding on the floor of their 34th Avenue apartment with a gunshot wound to her head, a relative said previously. The family called 911 but Arriaga couldn’t be saved.

A neighbor described men arguing on the street before shots rang out around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Arriaga, 43, was in bed at the time.

Police found a single bullet hole in the window of Arriaga’s Jackson Heights home.

Elabbar was being treated at Elmhurst Hospital for leg pain after his arrest, police said.
