A man has died after falling ‘from a height’ near the Westfield shopping centre in East London today.
Paramedics in cars and the air ambulance were called to the area in Stratford at about 11.15am this morning but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: ‘We were called at 11.15am to reports of a man injured after falling from height in International Way, E20.

‘Emergency services attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.’
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: ‘We were called today at 11.16am to reports of an incident in International Way, Stratford, E20.
‘We sent resources including an ambulance, a medic in a response car, a team leader and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
‘Sadly, despite our efforts, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.’
Westfield shopping centre remains open despite all non-essential stores being forced to close when the capital was put into the new Tier Four on Saturday night.
Supermarkets and pharmacies at the centre have been trading as normal since yesterday, while their food outlets are offering takeaways.
Retailers are also providing click-and-collect services at Westfield, which is running one-way systems and mandatory mask wearing across the centre.
