Model’s designer handbag and shoe collection targeted in ‘movie style’ heist

A black Chanel handbag worth nearly £5,000 was among the designer bags and shoes stolen in a Hollywood-style heist at the home of model Germaine Love.

A police investigation is ongoing but Germaine, a model, property developer and bar owner in Middlesbrough, has put up a reward for information leading to their conviction.

She said: "The burglary is something you see out of a movie like a heist, like I was some sort of Hatton Garden jeweller or something."

"I checked my CCTV and all looked good from the outside but obviously I had no cameras on the roof," said Germaine.

Germaine, who lives alone, said she believes the thieves must have been watching the house: "I don’t have a routine, I’m into property and I have a bar so one minute I can be rushing out to a tenant or dealing with some other issue," she said.

"They must have seen I was working in the bar that night on my social media or something and picked their time to pounce.
