Police ID two suspects in connection with Aurora hotel shooting that left 1 dead, 3 injured
Aurora police identified the two men arrested in connection with a shooting Saturday morning at an area hotel that left one person dead and three injured.
Luis Martin Estrada, 21, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree assault, while Ruben Angel Mejia-Soto, 21, was arrested on investigation of accessary to homicide, police announced in Monday news release.
The shooting occurred Saturday around 2 a.m. at the Hyatt House Hotel at 12230 E. Colfax Ave., after an alternation at a party in one of the hotel rooms, police previously said. The suspects, after being kicked out of the room, allegedly fired shots through the door, police alleged.
Four people were shot, including an 18-year-old man who later died at the hospital, authorities said. A 17-year-old woman was in critical condition and two men, 22 and 23, were hospitalized in stable condition.
