President Trump thanks supporters who showed up outside Walter Reed

President Trump expressed gratitude Sunday for his supporters who showed up outside Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where the commander-in-chief is being treated for coronavirus.

“Thank you so much!,” Trump wrote on Twitter, linking to a posting from Dan Scavino, the White House social media director.

“????? ??? to all of the Great American Patriots who have come out tonight, in support of @realDonaldTrump at Walter Reed Medical Center. We’ll all get through this, TOGETHER! #MAGA,” Scavino wrote on Twitter.

The president has been receiving treatment at the hospital in Bethesda, Md., since Friday after he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19.

Scavino included a video that showed Trump supporters lining the sidewalk, holding Trump/Pence 2020 and American flags as many whistled and cars drove by honking their horns.

It was a scene repeated across the country, including New York, as thousands offered prayers and get-well messages to the president.

Hundreds of vehicles, part of a caravan called “MAGA Drag the Interstate” in 39 states, converged on Albany on Saturday, stretching along the New York State Thruway.

About 2,500 supporters gathered in Staten Island to support Trump and pray for his speedy recovery.

“We’re just people who love this country and want to fly our flag without ridicule,” organizer Zena Taliento of Staten Island told The Post.
