A teenager is fighting for his life after a triple shooting in Brixton, south London yesterday.

Police were called to Somerleyton Road just after 11pm last night where they found a man and a woman in their 30s suffering gunshot wounds, before they were taken to hospital.

Later that night a boy in his late teens also checked himself into a south London hospital after being shot. He remains in a life-threatening condition.

He is believed to have fled the housing estate shooting before being rushed to hospital by a group of friends.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident but the Met Police’s gang squad is investigating.

The incident comes after a wave of violent crime swept the capital, with this year’s London murder rate already over 70.
