Twitch temporarily BANS President Trump from platform for ‘hateful conduct’ that aired in a stream – The Sun

TWITCH has temporarily BANNED President Trump from the platform for "hateful conduct" that aired in a stream.

The clips include a re-shared video of his kickoff rally, where Trump said Mexico was sending rapists to the US, and comments from his Tulsa rally last week, The Verge reported.

A company spokesperson told The Verge that "politicians on Twitch must adhere to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines" like other users.

"We do not make exceptions for political or newsworthy content, and will take action on content reported to us that violates our rules," the spokesperson added.

The content has since been removed.

Trump's temporary removal from the platform follows just days after Twitch superstar Dr Disrespect was removed for unspecified reasons.

While Trump's being kicked off the site is temporary, Dr Disrespect – whose real name is Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV – is reportedly off on a permanent basis.

A spokesperson said in a statement that the page was taken down to a violation of terms of service.

"As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service," the spokesperson said.

"These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.”
