Two men rushed to hospital after 'stabbing' on Glasgow street | The Sun

TWO men have been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in the east end of Glasgow.

Police say they were called to reports of a disturbance on Haymarket Street in the Carntyne area at around 5pm on Friday.

Mercy crews rushed to the scene and the men, both aged 45, were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The Scottish Sun understands the men are still being treated in hospital as their condition is unknown.

It's understood that at least one of the men were stabbed during the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Haymarket Street, Glasgow, around 5pm on Friday, 5 August, 2022.

“Two men, both aged 45, have been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

"Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."

In a separate incident, we told how a man has been arrested after an alleged disturbance on a busy Glasgow road that left a car "smashed".

Officers were called to Paisley Road West in the early hours of Saturday morning.
