UK cop thrown from horse during violent Black Lives Matter protest in London

A British cop was flung from her horse after crashing into traffic lights as it bolted during a violent Black Lives Matter protest — leaving her with a collapsed lung and broken ribs, according to reports.

Disturbing video shows the police horse taking off as protesters hurled bottles and even a bike at it outside Downing Street on Saturday. The female cop slams into a traffic light, sending her flying off the back of the horse.

She was left unconscious on the ground as protesters continued to hurl objects at her fellow mounted cops, clips show.

Her terrified steed then galloped away from the central London protest — knocking over several people, other videos show, before it “made its own back to the stables nearby,” London’s Met Police said.

The unidentified officer suffered a collapsed lung and also broke her collar bone as well as some ribs, according to MailOnline. She was one of 10 cops injured in the protest, the force said.

“She is currently receiving hospital treatment, but her injuries are not life-threatening,” a Met spokesperson said.

The horse was uninjured.

The department’s commissioner, Cressida Dick, said she was “deeply saddened and depressed that a minority of protesters became violent.”

“The number of assaults is shocking and completely unacceptable,” she said.

“I know many who were seeking to make their voices heard will be as appalled as I am by those scenes. There is no place for violence in our city.”

She also urged people “to please find another way to make your views heard” rather than risk spreading the coronavirus with mass protests.
