Uni professor sacked after students spot ‘busty college girl’ bookmark during Zoom video lecture – The Sun

A UNI professor was sacked after students spotted a tab for "busty college girls" on his screen during a Zoom lecture.

The teacher at the University of Miami was heading up a business analytics class and shared his screen for his class.

Students took pictures and videos when they saw the pornographic bookmark – with them quickly being shared around social media.

John Peng Zhang was later removed from the faculty section of the website and a new tutor listed for the class.

He had shared the same bookmark on his screen a number of times for different lecture groups.

One of the videos was only eight seconds long and zoomed in on the professor as he talked, before moving to the bookmark.

It was shared on TikTok and saw more than 800,000 views in a few hours.

Mr Zhang addressed the incident with his class the following session, the Miami Hurricane reports he said: "I don’t know how it happened.

"I didn’t see it, I’m pretty sure everybody else did…My apologies to the class.”

He then then sent out an email to the class saying he was “investigating” asked students not to share images of the link.

'MY APOLOGIES'

The next Zoom session for the class was cancelled after 20 mins, as students waited for the professor to join the call.

The student who posted the viral TikTok video said: "I felt bad about the attention it was getting.

“I didn’t want him to lose his job…I thought he would be fine…I felt really bad for him.”

The university confirmed Zhang is no longer employed by them.
