Where is Beau Biden buried?

BORN as Joseph R Biden III on February 3, 1969, Beau Biden was the eldest of Joe Biden and his first wife's three children.

He tragically passed away in 2015 after battling cancer, leaving his family devastated.

How did Beau Biden die?

Beau Biden served as Delaware’s Attorney General from 2007-2015.

He nearly followed his father's footsteps in 2010 when he considered running for the US Senate, but was sidelined by a mild stroke.

Beau died of brain cancer at the age of 46 on May 30, 2015.

Months after announcing his bid for president, Joe Biden opened up about his son, who he said: "should be the one running for president, not me."

Where is Beau Biden buried?

Beau's body was laid to rest at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church in Delaware.

Approximately 24 hours before Biden was sworn into office on January 20, he cried during an emotional speech at the Major Joseph R "Beau" Biden III National Guard Reserve Center.

Biden dedicated most of his speech to his late son, Beau – who served for two terms as the former attorney general of Delaware and as a Major in the Delaware Army National Guard.

On the day of his father's inauguration, a man was seen kneeling at Beau's grave during the 2021 ceremony.

Alongside the photo, tweeted by a News Journal reporter Patty Talorico, the caption read: "Poignant moment.

"While Joe Biden gave his inauguration speech, a lone man in uniform knelt at the Delaware grave of his son Beau."

Talorico later revealed more details about when she took the photo.

She explained in the Delaware News Journal: "No one else was around on this cold, windy afternoon except for a few people doing outside work at the cemetery.

"In my car, I had the radio tuned to CNN. Joe Biden was being sworn in as president and was about to begin his address.

"The man in the uniform bowed his head and clasped his hands. The image brought tears to my eyes."

Did he have any children?

Beau had two children with his wife Hallie.

His eldest child is daughter Natalie who is 16.

Natalie and cousin Naomi opened up about their grandmother Jill Biden at the Democratic National Convention last year.

“I would say she’s not your average grandmother,” Naomi claimed.

"She's a prankster, she's very mischievous." Natalie added, “We have a lot of stories.”

Beau and wife Hallie's second child, Robert "Hunter" II, was named after his uncle.

Born in 2006, he joined his sister Natalie and his cousins in reciting the pledge of allegiance at the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
