Woman struck by train after Union Square subway shove
A woman was struck by an oncoming train when an assailant shoved her onto Manhattan subway tracks Thursday morning, cops said.
The attack happened on the northbound 4/5/6 platform at 14th Street-Union Square just before 8:30 a.m., police said.
The victim was struck by a 5 train and taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to cops.
The suspect, a man, is in custody with charges pending, according to cops and police sources.
The motive for the attack was not immediately clear.
