Sydney Sweeney is diving headfirst into the ballet-core trend. On Nov. 5, the actor attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles wearing a pink Giambattista Valli gown, and her nails rounded out the entire look.
Sweeney’s nails were filed into a stiletto-oval shape and painted a pink-toned hue. Upon closer look, you can see her nails were given a trendy spin with silver cat-eye nail art. The manicure, which was created by celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt, shined against Sweeney’s dress perfectly.
Cat-eye nails have recently been spotted on other stars like Jenna Dewan and Ashley Tisdale, signifying that the whimsical nail look is picking up steam. If you want to give the look a try, you’ll need magnetic nail polish and a corresponding magnet that you can use to manipulate the color, giving the manicure that velvet-nail look.
The design is particularly well suited for the colder months if you use darker tones like navy blues or olive greens. Sweeney’s pink version, however, can be worn year-round and feels particularly timely given the popularity of another manicure style, ballerina-slipper nails.
