1. Everyone has to sign an NDA

It's common knowledge that anyone who appears on the show must maintain strict confidentiality about its inner workings, which Kim Kardashian confirmed herself. In a tweet shared while live-tweeting an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2019, Kim wrote: “Btw NDAs for all!”

2. Producers have to wear shoe protectors in Kris Jenner’s house

While they are open about letting people into their lives, it seems Kris Jenner has some strict rules when letting people into her home. In a New York Times article it was revealed that a production assistant was required to wear shoe covers while distributing microphones and assisting with the setup for filming.

3. Waivers have to be signed to use a picture of someone

Blurring photos of celebrities in episodes of The Kardashians is a common practice, and when a curious fan inquired about the reasons behind it, Khloe offered an explanation on Twitter, writing: “We obviously didn’t do anything. He might not have signed a waiver to show those images. Why would I want to blur his face? I’m not hiding his identity.”

4. Kim often calls the shots

It won’t come as any surprise that Kim is often the one calling the shots. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Kim revealed: “I think if you ask the crew, I probably produce the most because I know what my sisters might not be sharing. Kourtney shared: “I remember in season one being like, ‘I have to go to the bathroom’ and I’d cry in there as quietly as I could because I was still mic’d.”

6. Kendall has one rule about her partners appearing on the show

Executive producer Farnaz Farjam explained in an interview: “Kendall ’s always had this rule. She just felt like she had to be with someone for at least a year before she lets them be a part of the show, because she doesn’t always know what people’s intentions are. That’s why we kind of kept her personal life out of it.”

The family are also executive producers on The Kardashians and so they get to ultimately decide what makes it onto the episodes. Fellow executive producer Danielle King explained in an interview with US magazine : “A lot of their participation in terms of being an executive producer comes in post-production. Obviously like any human being, they have boundaries so they can decide what stays in, what stays out of the show."

8. Kendall and Kylie get their nails done every week

In an interview with Elle, Kendall claimed: “[Kris] would make us do it. She would have a nail artist come to the house once a week and she would make us get our nails done. She was like ‘You are never going to look like you’re not put together.’ So we were always getting them done.”
