Jasmine Harman, 47, has been a presenter on A Place in the Sun since it began in 2000 and is now joined by the likes of Laura Hamilton, Danni Menzies and Ben Hillman on the show. However, the presenter has taken to Instagram to address rumours that the show had been cancelled due to its absence in recent weeks from Channel 4.
Jasmine shared a scenic picture of herself sitting on the beach in a green floral print dress as she smiled at the camera.
She used the caption to squash rumours of A Place in the Sun’s cancellation, instead reassuring her fans of the show’s return.
Jasmine said in view of her 124,000 Instagram followers: “I know so many of you are missing your favourite daytime TV show on Channel 4, but don’t panic.
“It hasn’t been ‘cancelled’ or ‘dropped’ as some are suggesting. Far from it, we are literally filming loads of new episodes right now!
“It will be back on air from April 3, and brand new episodes starting on May 1! Thanks for all the love!”
Many social media users rushed to the comments to share their happiness over the good news and the return of the hit Channel 4 programme.
Veecurtis_x said: “Shows how much the show is loved when people are worried, cannot wait for new episodes. Our favourite show.”
Jack_model_2022 added: “Great it’s coming back….though I’m still waiting to see if I’ve been chosen to be on the programme!!!”
Helen_Davies66 commented: “At last! Missed watching the show, look forward to watching the show again soon. I’ve seen all the past repeats. Xxx.”
Fans from A Place in the Sun fans arose after it was taken off air temporarily this week in a Channel 4 schedule shake-up.
The popular series has been cancelled for this week and replaced by the new TV show Tool Club.
Tool Club will show novices helped by professionals renovate their homes using DIY projects, a steep contrast to that of A Place in the Sun.
Fans were unhappy to discover the fan favourite show was being replaced and complained about the decision on Twitter.
Philm2244 said: “Was hoping to watch #aplaceinthesun. Not sure I want to watch people screwing things together or even painting things in #toolclub.”
Kaffpot added: “Oh dear oh dear. My afternoons have gone completely awry, now that Channel 4 have decided to replace #aplaceinthesun with #toolclub.”
Jasmine has been praised in recent weeks for sharing a picture of her “cellulite and varicose veins” as she posed in a leopard print swimsuit.
But the property expert was keen to show the reality of wearing the revealing ensemble, posting a picture of her gazing out to sea in what she called a “less flattering angle”.
Posting to her Instagram story she said: “Thanks for all the lovely compliments in the comments! In the name of ‘keeping it real’ here’s a less flattering angle.
“Yes, I have cellulite and varicose veins. Do I give a? Actually, no! #bodypositive.”
This comes after Jasmine made the dramatic lifestyle change in September to start working out every day, drink more water and take Zumba classes.
After five months of her health-kick Jasmine revealed she regained her confidence in her body and lost over 20lbs.
