AceShowbizAdrienne Bailon has welcomed her first child with her husband Israel Houghton. Taking to her social media account, “The Real” co-host their newborn son to the world.

Making use of Instagram on Tuesday, August 16, the 38-year-old shared a black-and-white photo of her cradling her new bundle of joy. Her husband, meanwhile, was sitting next to her. She began her caption by writing, “Ever James. For this child we have prayed. Just to hear our baby cry. Skin to skin and face to face. Heart to heart and eye to eye…”

“Our baby boy is here & we are so in love! If you have followed our love story… you know that our journey to baby has been very challenging – But God is true to His word and His promises,” she added. “We have quietly prayed while sitting on this most magnificent secret for the last 9 months. He is worth every tear, every disappointment, every delayed prayer, every IVF cycle, every miscarriage. Everything.”

“All we feel is joy and overwhelming love & gratitude. Grateful to God, to our angel surrogate and to all of our friends and family who have stood with us for over 5 years on this journey,” she went on gushing. “He’s here and we have never been happier to lose sleep! #HappilyEverHoughton.”

Adrienne has previously gotten candid about wanting to start a family. Back in April 2020, she told her “The Real” co-hosts that she was trying to get pregnant during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Ya’ll let me let you know, we are — pause — hard at work to make it happen. That just sounded crazy coming out of my mouth. But yes, you guys, I’m taking this quarantine thing very seriously,” she said at that time.

“I’ve thought about giving birth in a tub, how I would possibly get a mid-wife — have them tested…,” the TV personality shared, before admitting that she does feel a bit afraid at the thought of giving birth during this time. However, “if God allows me to get pregnant during this time, then it’s in his will,” so she said.
