Amy Childs sets record straight after being mum-shamed for ‘not loving’ son Richie
Amy Childs has revealed she receives negative comments from trolls who accuse her of "not loving" her son Richie.
The mum of two – who is pregnant with twins with her boyfriend Billy Delbosq – was recently questioned by fans about whether her son Richie, four, lives with her, Billy, 39, and her five year old daughter Polly.
And as Amy, 32, confirmed her son does live at home with her, she decided to share her thoughts on the comments she receives daily about her decision to not share pictures of her youngest.
She shared in an Instagram Q&A: "Okay so I'm going to address this once and for all, Richie my beautiful son lives with me. My god he is so very handsome yet so bloody hard work. We decided to keep him off social media, which me and Richie's dad decided on."
Amy continued: "The amount of negative comments and horrible messages I get on a day-to-day basis isn't very nice, but at home we are the most perfect family. It sometimes gets me down the comments I get about not loving my son."
She then added: "Little Richie is very clingy and a proper mummy's boy, Polly was never a mummy's girl. He is a very sweet beautiful boy and looks very much like me everyone says."
It isn't the first time Amy has been questioned over her decision to keep Richie's life private, as she was quizzed on why she decided to feature Polly on TOWIE.
"Putting her on the show was obviously something I needed to think about very carefully, especially as I don't put Richie on social media," she shared with The Sun.
"I want to clear this up too because I get a lot of messages on social media every single day saying, 'Why do you always put up pictures of your daughter and not your son or why is Polly on the show and not Richie.' 'Do you love your daughter more?' etc.
"I must get about 20 messages a day about Richie, but basically me and Richie's dad agreed together not to put Richie on social media or TOWIE. We won't put him on social media or TV until he is old enough to make that decision himself."
Meanwhile, Amy exclusively revealed with OK! that she’s expecting twins with her boyfriend Billy Delbosq – something which came as a shock to the pair.
In her exclusive column with us, the star confessed her relationship with Billy has grown since falling pregnant.
"Me being pregnant has definitely brought me and Billy closer, but we’ve obviously had our disagreements as well," she shared.
"We had a disagreement the other day where Billy said when the babies come, if they’re asleep he’d just go and pick them up.
"I was like 'Why could you do that?'"
She said further: "He also said he wouldn’t be giving the babies a dummy, but when they come he’ll definitely be thinking differently – but hey ho!
"It has brought us closer though, especially as Bill has no children of his own. We’re having all these firsts together. He’s always wanted to be a dad."
