Aubrey ODay Sets IG Account Private After Being Accused of Photoshopping Herself Into Vacation Pics

The singer and TV reality star has been facing intense backlash on social media after a viral TikTok video exposes her for allegedly photoshopping her exotic getaway photos.

AceShowbizAubrey O’Day is limiting people who can visit her social media account. The singer and TV reality star has set her Instagram account private after she’s mocked for allegedly photoshopping herself into exotic vacation photos.

The 38-year-old star landed in hot water shortly after a TikTok video from @residualdata went viral. In the said clip, the creator named Sophie contended that the former Danity Kane member “apparently went on this vacation around Bali, by just Photoshopping herself into pictures. And it’s truly like every single picture.”

Sophie then demonstrated how easy it’s to take a stock photo from a website and then put a shot of a person in front of it. “I don’t even know if she went to Indonesia, like, at all,” she said.

Sophie asserted that the former “Famously Single” star “either just steals content from other content creators or Photoshops herself into random promotional images, with these very inspirational Instagram captions accompanying the photos.” She then asked, “In an era where social media comparison is so high and has real effects, why are we doing this?”

Aubrey describes herself as a “world traveler” in the bio for her Instagram account, which is filled with eye-catching photos of her in such far-flung locales as Bali, Athens, Santorini, Bora Bora and the Maldives. In captioning each of the uploads, the musician, who’s seen looking achingly glamorous in the shots, shared philosophical and inspirational words with her followers of nearly 1 million.

Reacting to the alleged photoshopped pictures, critics took to Twitter to share their thoughts. “Not that I was expecting totally chill & normal content from Donald Trump Jr.’s ex, but this is so f**king weird,” one person wrote. Another quipped, “Lol so this isn’t the plot to that movie ‘Not Okay‘??????”

A man also claimed that Aubrey blocked him “10 seconds after [he] commented ‘photoshop?’ ” on her post. Someone else opined, “This is so wild because she does actually go to those places. She lived in Bali for well over a year & after she very photo posted (anywhere) there’s a video she took there. I guess she doesn’t want the pressure of making content in real time.”

While a slew of social media users piled in to share disparaging takes on the photoshopping allegations, some fans defended Aubrey. “[People] photoshop all the time,” said one person, “Who [really] cares unless you’re the type of person to compare yourself. Then that’s more a you problem. And she could just like photoshopping herself in different places. Could be fun for her, an art, manifesting.”
