BBCs Zoe Ball ‘splits from model boyfriend’ after five years together
Zoe Ball jokes about only lasting ‘another two years’
Zoe Ball, 52, and model Michael Reed have reportedly called time on their five-and-a-half-year relationship after they “drifted apart” in recent months.
Zoe is “gutted” but a source believes she is “better off without” him.
They told The Sun: “This is a relief to many of her friends, who think she has done the right thing.
“They were arguing over really silly things like Zoe spending time on the phone to her friends and it all got a bit too much for her.”
The insider added that Zoe and Michael had a “wonderful romance at first” and the model was a “real gent”.
They went on: “But in recent months Zoe has started to find him a bit demanding.
“They then started spending a lot less time together, went away on separate holidays and drifted apart.
“Now it seems the relationship has finally run its course. She asked him to move out and he has done so.”
Despite the breakup, the source added to the publication that the pair have been able to part “on good terms”.

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Zoe and Michael for comment.
Zoe and Michael met in December 2017 and they lived together in the Sussex countryside.
They had frequently shared loved-up selfies on social media, but he was noticeably absent from her recent family holiday to Cyprus.
Zoe was previously married to Norman ‘Fatboy Slim’ Cook from 1999 until 2016. They share two children Woody, 22, and Nelly, 13.
She was then in a relationship with cameraman Billy Yates who tragically took his own life in 2017.
Just days ago, Zoe paid tribute to her late boyfriend with a touching tribute shared on Instagram.
She posted a photograph of Billy watching the sunset along with the caption: “Six years Billy wonder. Missed madly by all who love you.”
Back in 2020, Zoe said losing Billy was the “hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with in my life”.
She said on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “He was so full of love and would help anyone in need…he should be remembered for his life, not his death.”
