Beyonces Mom Tina Knowles Files for Divorce From Husband Richard Lawson

If a new report is to be believed, the 69-year-old mom of the Grammy-winning musician has filed for divorce from her actor husband, ending their eight years of marriage.

AceShowbiz –Tina Knowles is calling it quits with husband Richard Lawson. The mom of Grammy-winning musician Beyonce Knowles reportedly filed for divorce from the actor on Wednesday, July 26, ending their eight years of marriage.

According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ, Tina cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She additionally listed the date of separation as Tuesday, July 25.

In the documents, Tina, who tied the knot with Richard in April 2015 after dating for 2 years, asked the court to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to her or Richard. She also asked to revert her name back to Celestine Knowles after changing it to Celestine Lawson when she married Richard. While Tina has two daughters, Beyonce and Solange Knowles with first husband Mathew Knowles, she has no kids with Richard.

Prior to the divorce news, eagle-eyed fans believed that the pair had quietly separated. They noticed that the 69-year-old might hint at the split by changing her Instagram bio from “Tina Knowles-Lawson” to “Tina Knowles,” dropping Richard’s last name.

Fans additionally pointed out that Richard didn’t seem to join the rest of the family at Jay-Z‘s mother’s wedding. The rap mogul’s mom Gloria Carter, who came out as a lesbian six years ago, tied the knot with her longtime partner Roxanne Wilshire on Sunday, July 2.

Not stopping there, Tina didn’t seem to join Richard who has been promoting his new movie, “Black Terror“, worldwide. The actor attended film festivals, such as the Essence Festival and Cannes Film Festival, solo without Tina by his side.

Further fueling the split speculations, Richard had been spotted without his wedding ring on several occasions. The now-exes additionally skipped making their yearly heartfelt social media posts to celebrate their wedding anniversary.

Neither Tina nor Richard has commented on the divorce report.
