Billie Shepherd picks sides with a kiss for Sam as they close ranks amid voicenote drama
Billie Shepherd, 32, closed ranks and sided with sisterSam Faiers, 31, amidst theFerne McCann voice note drama.
The sisters and their mother, Suzi Wells, were pictured together for the first time sinceFerne McCann’s, 32, voice notes allegedly body-shaming and insulting Sam were leaked online.
Spotting photographers, pregnant Billie kissed Sam’s cheek as the pair left The Ned Hotel.
It came days after a series of voicenotes was leaked on Instagram, in which a woman alleged to be 32 year old Ferne could be heard apparently referring to her former friend as a “fat c***” and “narcissistic b***h.”
Ferne has not publicly responded to the voice notes, while Sam’s family have quickly closed ranks in support – with her mum describing them as 'vile'.
Attending the launch of Chapter B, Billie’s homeware range, the sisters appeared to be in good spirits, despite the drama.
Sam was photographed wearing a matching blue blazer and trousers set, which she paired with a casual black t-shirt, and a necklace with the letters P, R and E, the first initial of each of her children’s names.
Billie showed off her blossoming baby bump in a figure hugging brown maxi dress, keeping warm as she left she paired this with an off-white jacket.
Sam bought her children along to the event and could be seen carrying toys and blankets as she pushed a pram. Her eldest son Paul, six, was dressed smartly in some light brown trousers, and a navy jumper.
While Sam and Billie had maintained a dignified silence amid the scandal, their mother has taken to Instagram to discuss the “vile attack”on her daughter.
Posting to Instagram Stories, she told fans that a clip has been shared on social media, adding: “This has come as a complete shock to myself and my family.
“Ferne has always been a very close family member to all of us over the past 20 years. It appears the voice note was sent just weeks after Samantha gave birth back in May.
“Since the voice note has surfaced more have been sent – very upsetting nasty things. We are as shocked as you are! Nobody should ever speak about their friends like this ever! My girls are my absolute everything and I'll do anything to protect them.
“I don't have anything else to say on the matter,” she concluded.
The Instagram account leaking the voice notes has now been taken down as police begin an investigation into how these private messages appeared online.
In a statement released to OK! on Sunday morning, Essex Police said: “We are investigating a report of malicious communication which was made to us in Brentwood on Thursday 29 September.
“We have spoken to the victim, a woman aged in her 30s, and our enquiries are ongoing.”
And a source toldThe Sun: “Ferne was visited by the police on Thursday night after having her life turned upside down by a fake account that has launched a malicious smear campaign against her.
“Officers spent a few hours with her and gave reassurances that they are prioritising this case, tracking the parties responsible.
“Having taken statements, the police are currently in the process of tracking the fake account’s whereabouts. The Online Safety Bill was discussed as they clamp down on cyber crime.”
