Boris Johnsons wife Carrie once DM-ed my boyfriend, claims MICs Melissa Tattam

Made in Chelsea's Melissa Tattam claims on her podcast that former prime minister Boris Johnson's wife Carrie once DM-ed her boyfriend, Toby Watkins.

Melissa, 25, co-hosts Wednesdays We Drink Wine along with fellow Made in Chelsea star Sophie Habboo.

On Tuesday, they published a snippet from the episode released today, which sees Melissa say that her model boyfriend Toby received an unexpected DM on Instagram. It is not known if this was while Carrie was in a relationship with Boris or if she was single at the time.

Melissa claims that Boris's wife Carrie, who he married in 2021, once sent a direct message to her model Toby – but unsent the message before he had the chance to read it.

It is not known when this message was sent and unsent, or what the contents of it were. Melissa also says Carrie still follows Toby on the social media platform, which is true.

During the episode, Sophie was talking about the number of children Boris has, before Melissa interrupted her co-host by saying: "Oh my god, mic drop. I don't know if I can say this, but I'm going to say it.

"Boris Johnson's wife has previously DM'd Toby Watkins on Instagram," she said. "And she follows him."

As a shocked Sophie said "no you're joking" and laughed, her pal replied: "Deadly f*****g serious.

"No, no you're not," Sophie said, before asking: "Saying what?"

Melissa revealed: "We don't know because she's unsent it."

"What the f**k?!" Sophie said.

"Just FYI guys, if you ever unsend a message to someone that doesn't follow you, it will forever tell them that you're previously messaged because it says accept, decline but you can't see what the message is or when it was sent or anything," Melissa told the listeners.

"I've had that so many times. I never knew what it meant until you told me. I wish I could go back in time now," Sophie replied.

OK! has contacted both Boris and Carrie Johnson's representatives for comment.

Melissa first confirmed her relationship with Toby in March last year after she posted a photo of them posing together on her Instagram. The pair called it quits later in the summer before later rekindling their romance at the end of the year.

Their romance comes after she broke it off with her now ex-boyfriend and fellow MIC star Harry Baron in 2021.

In 2018, Melissa joined the cast of MIC as she was introduced as Harry's girlfriend. They often appeared on the show together until they broke up three years later.
