Britney Spears' mom Lynne begs her to meet with sister Jamie Lynn

Britney Spears’ mother Lynne is BEGGING singer to have face-to-face meeting with estranged sister Jamie Lynn – and will ‘not rest’ until daughters’ broken bond is restored

  • Britney, 41, reconciled with her mother Lynne, 68, at her home in late May
  • But her relationship with sister Jamie Lynn, 32, has been in turmoil since 2021
  • READ HERE: Britney Spears SLAMS Jamie Lynn for saying ‘it was hard’ being her sibling in a lengthy rant

Britney Spears’ mother Lynne is ‘begging’ the 41-year-old pop princess to repair her fractured relationship with her younger sister Jamie Lynn once – after the siblings became embroiled in a bitter and very public feud in amid the Toxic singer’s 13-year conservatorship.

The conservatorship, which saw Britney’s father Jamie handed control over her life, finances, and medical decisions, led to a serious rift within the Spears family and saw the popstar distancing herself from almost all of her close family members.

However, in recent weeks, Britney, 41, has reconciled with mother Lynne, 68, and now a source has revealed to DailyMail.com that the Spears matriarch ‘will not rest’ until she has brokered a truce between her two daughters.

‘Lynne is begging Britney to make amends with her sister Jamie Lynn now,’ the insider shared. ‘They are both leaning towards a yes. Lynne knows that Britney does miss her sister and she told her that the feeling is obviously mutual.’

Britney Spears, 41, and Lynne Spears, 68 (pictured in 2005) have reconciled their relationship and are in ‘constant communication after meeting at the singer’s house in May

DailyMail.com has exclusively learned that Lynne is now ‘begging’ her daughter’s Britney and Jamie Lynn, 32 (in 2017) to fix their broken bond during a face-to-face sit-down

But, the source added, it’s going to take some convincing to bring Britney around to the idea of a truce with her estranged sister – and an apology from Jamie Lynn, 32.

‘Britney still feels that Jamie Lynn is the one who messed up and, if they are going to meet, she would need to come to her and not vise versa,’ the source reveals, adding: ‘Lynne is figuring out now how to make this happen, but she is not going to rest until everything is perfect again.’

After three years of estrangement, Lynne flew from Kentwood, Louisiana to LA in May to pay a surprise visit to Britney at her home in Thousand Oaks.

The stage mom’s efforts proved to be worth it, as they sat down for 30 minutes and were able to hash out their issues and undue the damage that was caused by the horrific 13-year conservatorship that Britney was forced into by her father, Jamie Spears, 70;

The insider says that the Britney and Lynne ‘have been in constant communication since.’

A separate source close to the situation tells DailyMail.com that – although Lynne is determined to reunite her girls – she is trying her best to ease into the situation by taking it one day at a time.

‘Lynne knows that it still will take time to get back on the same page and fall into all the right places their relationship needs to be.

But she loves Britney more than anything and clearing up the wounds of the past is something she has strived to achieve for a long time,’ the family confidante says.

A source tells DailyMail.com that Lynne (pictured leaving Britney’s house on May 24) ‘will not rest’ until the relationship with her two beloved daughters is repaired

Britney (on Instagram in 2022) feels that ‘ne who really messed up and if a meeting were to happen, Jamie Lynn would need to come to her

‘Lynne also understands that there is more of a process to go through, but she is showing 100 percent effort to make sure that her own relationship with Britney continues to strengthen.

‘With all of the drama that they have dealt with in the last couple of years with each other, Lynne’s recent meeting with Britney was a promising step in the right direction for better days ahead.’ the insider tells DailyMail.com.

On November 12, 2021, Britney was freed from a 13-year conservatorship that she was placed in by her father Jamie, 70 – who, she claims, mentally and emotionally abused her for financial gain.

Britney believed that her mother also played a part in keeping her locked in the guardianship. She made this clear to her fans on social media, where she shared countless posts about the pain she endured.

Lynn apologized for her part in a post that read, ‘I’m sooo sorry for your pain. I have been sorry for years! I love you so much and miss you! Please unblock me so I can speak to you in person! Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!’

Britney  responded with: ‘Mom take your apology and go f*** yourself!!!’

Months later, Britney asked her mother to have coffee – which is something that she was not allowed to indulge in during the conservatorship.

While in Mexico with her husband Sam Asghari, 29, Britney posted the following caption on Instagram: ‘After no coffee for 15 years… Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it !!!’

Britney blames her mother and sister for not helping to get her out of the 13-year-conservatorship she place in by her dad Jamie, 70 (pictured in LA in 2012 with Lynne)

In August of 2022, Lynne shared a throwback image of herself laughing with Britney along with a caption which said she has done all she could to support her

Jamie Lynn (pictured with her sister in 2003) claimed that she took several steps to try and help Britney end her conservatorship, including speaking with the popstar’s legal team

On May 24, Lynne flew from her native Louisiana to LAX, TMZ reported, and was taken to the residence of Britney’s manager Cade Hudson. From there, she took an Uber to Britney’s Southern California home.

Britney was aware that her mother would be visiting, but did not know exactly when, a source told the outlet. After Lynne left, Britney shared her joy on Instagram, writing, ‘My sweet mama showed up at my doorstep yesterday after 3 years!

‘It’s been such a long time… with family there’s always things that need to be worked out… but time heals all wounds!!!’

She continued, ‘And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT!!! I love you so much!!!’

Britney also blamed her younger sister for not doing more to free her from the horrific conservatorship and this put a wedge in between them immediately after it was terminated.

But their sisterly bond showed signs of strain for several years leading up to that.

In April 2017, Jamie Lynn performed remixes of Britney’s songs during the Radio Disney Music Awards. Britney attended the show with Lynne and looked very uncomfortable. She called her out of the misstep in in July 2021.

In April 2018, Jamie Lynn got backlash when she dissed the Free Britney Movement by saying, ’10 years ago, who was there? I have been here long before anyone else and I’ll be here long after.’

As the conservatorship hearings began, Jamie Lynn faced accusations that she was on Britney’s payroll, which she denied.  She also denied countless allegations about her involvement.

In October 2021, their sisterly bond was severed when Jamie Lynn released her autobiography, Things I Should Have Said. In the book, she wrote that there were times when Britney’s behavior was ‘erratic, paranoid, and spiraling.’

When talking to Good Morning America in January 2022, Jamie Lynn vehemently defended herself against accusations that she failed to assist her sibling in ending the guardianship.

‘When [the conservatorship] was put into place I was 17 years old [and] I was about to have a baby so I didn’t understand what was happening nor was I focused on that. I was focused on the fact I was a 17-year-old about to have a baby,’ she said on GMA.

Britney’s husband Sam Asghari, 29, (seen together at a NBA game a few years back) was present when the singer had a sit-down with her mom Lynne in May

As fans who follow the Britney versus her mom and sister saga, she did not invite either to her wedding to Sam one year ago (in June 2022)

Despite stating that she knew little about the ins and outs of the arrangement, Jamie Lynn said that she made several attempts to try and help her sibling end the guardianship over the years.

‘I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter so when she needed help I set up ways to do so,’ she said.

She said that Britney turned to her to ask for her help in ensuring that her two sons, Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, were taken care of.

‘There was a time where my sister asked me – of her trust and will – if I would be the person who assured that her boys got what they needed,’ the singer and actress shared.

The drama between they remained seemingly dormant until January 2023 when Jamie Lynn’s emotional confession about growing up in her sister’s shadow aired on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

Jamie Lynn broke down in tears and confessed, ‘Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young. I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything for myself. I struggle with self-esteem all the time.’

Britney went off on Instagram in a rant that read:  ‘Are we gonna say it was hard being my sister ???? Hmmmmmmmmmmm…. really ??? Well this was my spa plan at Vegas as my childhood friends had their heads held high with a seat for toes and nails and a bottle of champagne for each one of them while I STOOD AT THE DOOR not allowed to go in….’

The singer’s caption continued: ‘But bet ur bottom dollar they be gotten their entertainment from me that night !!!!! I’ve learned from the BEST… do we dare set aside our SELF CARE AND ACKNOWLEDGE a childhood friend ???? WHY no !!!!’

She said that her mind was ‘blown’ by Jamie Lynn’s on-air accusations. The two have  not been in communication since.

DailyMail.com reached out to reps for Britney, Lynne and Jamie Lynn, who have not responded.
