Her sons previously said they did not want to appear on her social media, but they have since done televised interviews about their mother, so that rule may have changed.

Britney shared multiple posts that day and in another, she could be seen crying  in a dance video, which she described to be a therapeutic process.

The Lucky singer has recently been public about her tension with her children after Jayden told DailyMail.com and ITV exclusively that he was uncomfortable with her frequent social media posts.

Another post: The singer posted another image in which she was posed between both of her sons (with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 44), who celebrate their birthdays this week. Preston is set to turn 17 on Wednesday, while Jayden turned 16 on Monday

‘It’s almost like she has to post something on Instagram to get some attention,’ he said.

Spears said in a post over the weekend (that she later deleted) that she was ‘angry’ about the comments, and was ‘not willing to see’ her sons until she feels ‘valued.’

She said that while she ‘was desperate’ she should have valued herself ‘way more’ in hindsight.

The Toxic artist on Tuesday also took to the site with a clip in which she danced, breaking into tears in what she said was a long-overdue emotional release

‘All I know is my love for my children is more than anything and I’m sorry if I ever hurt you guys in any way,’ she said, adding that she was told they had ‘blocked’ her. ‘Jayden and Preston, I adore you … I’m so blessed to even call you mine. And I just want you to know.’

Jayden told DailyMail.com that he had previously requested that his mother refrain from posting his photo on social media, and ‘she did it anyway… so it didn’t go well.’

He said that while he feels social media helps his mother, it’s not something he’s comfortable with.

‘If that’s what she wants to do, that’s what she wants to do,’ he said. ‘I’m not going to hate her for that. At the same time, she should come to the realization of whatever it is that stops her loving her family.’

He added: ‘This has gone on for years and years and years and there’s a high chance that this will never stop, but I’m hoping for me that she will stop.’

All work, no play: Professionally, Spears has been surging, as her new single with Elton John, Hold Me Closer, debuted in the number six spot on the Billboard Hot 100 , marking her first release of new music in years

Spears said: ‘It’s been a while since I’ve cried on camera!!!’ as he broke down

Her ex Kevin, 44, told DailyMail.com that he’s frequently apologized to his sons over any fallout they receive when she posts racy selfies online.

‘I try to explain to them, “Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself,”‘ he said. ‘But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.’

Spears initially responded with a statement saying she hoped to have an in person discussion with her son, while noting that she is the family’s chief financial provider, and tension could be that the funding will run dry when he and his brother Sean turn 18 in the next few years.

‘It’s been a while since I’ve cried on camera!!!’ Spears said. ‘It’s not a breakdown a******s, it’s a release that I’ve needed for a very long time now!!! Spiritual experience for sure !!! I think I need to do that way more!!! Psss… bawling.’

The latest comes as Britney denied ‘body shaming’ Christina Aguilera and her dancers, instead insisting that her post was just a ‘projection’ of her own insecurities.

In a Tuesday post, the star walked back on her comments, and praised Aguilera’s ‘beautiful’ body and thanked the singer for inspiring her.

It comes after the Beautiful singer is said to have unfollowed Spears for suggesting that her back-up dancers were bigger in size than her own.

‘By no means was I being critical of Christina’s beautiful body, it is what it is !!!’ Spears clarified in her post.

‘She is a beautiful woman of power’: Britney Spears DENIES body shaming Christina Aguilera and explains post about ‘fat people’ was a ‘projection’ of her own insecurities (the pair pictured at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards)

‘I flew to see her show once and the main thing I noticed was the difference of our people on stage !!! By no means did I even mention Christina, look at my post !!! I was inspired by her show and she is a beautiful woman of power … Thank you @xtina for inspiring me !!!’ she added.

Fans reacted angrily at Spears’ original post that mentioned Aguilera, as was accompanied by a quote that read: ‘I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people.’

However, Spears stressed to her fans that she wasn’t trying to be critical of Aguilera or her dancers.

She explained: ‘What I posted is a projection of the insecurities I deal with all the time as a result of how my parents and the media have treated me … I would never intentionally body shame anybody because I know what it feels like.’

‘I struggle with this because of how I feel about myself, not because I hate how anybody looks … I feel like my family knew I was insecure and people were trying to purposefully feed into this insecurity by not letting me have a choice in the people who were on stage with me. I appreciate you all being understanding with me as I figure out this new life I’m living !!!’

Ouch: To make matters worse, her caption was posted alongside quote that read: ‘I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people’

In her original post, Spears ranted that she wished she had been able to have chosen her own dancers, after previously complaining that her team would hire ‘tiny’ performers that would make her look bigger onstage.

In a perceived swipe at her former rival Aguilera, she said: ‘I wish I could have chosen the nannies for my children … my dancers … I mean if I had Christina Aguilera’s dancers I would have looked extremely small.’

To make matters worse, her caption was posted alongside quote that read: ‘I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people.’

It sparked some backlash from fans on Instagram who were shocked at the unfavorable comparison that Spears was making.

‘Britney… body shaming is out,’ one fan wrote, while another said: ‘Oh honey, delete this while you have time.’

In November last year, Spears previously slammed Aguilera for refusing to answer a question about the Free Britney movement during a red carpet appearance

Meanwhile, the post comes after Spears said that she will never perform live again and claimed she is ‘traumatized for life’ after being humiliated into working with the ‘tiniest’ backup dancers while on tour.

In a rambling post that has since been deleted, Spears bemoaned her previous experiences as a touring artist, as well as the preparation required for each show.

The singer, who has embarked on a total of ten tours over the last 23-years, also admitted her insecurity was triggered by the lithe female dancers employed to support her onstage.
