Charlotte Crosby surprises nana with gender of her baby with sweet cake
Charlotte Crosby has shared the gender of her baby with her grandma as part of a heartwarming celebration that even featured a gender themed cake.
The former Geordie Shore star, 32, is currently expecting her first baby with boyfriend Jake Ankers, and recently revealed to fans and friends that she is expecting a little girl.
But one person that warranted an extra special gender reveal was Charlotte’s nana, with the reality star even bringing her a special cake as she shared the news.
Sharing a snap of the heartwarming moment, Charlotte gave fans at home a close up view of the intricate cake she had used to break the news, that featured a cream crumb coating and over a dozen pink and blue balloons.
Two pairs of booties in blue and pink also completed the cake, with edible gold decorations also featuring in the design that had been gifted to Charlotte by highstreet bakers Patisserie Valerie.
Although Charlotte didn’t share the exact moment she broke the news to her nana, it clearly went down a treat, as shortly after her visit, Charlotte shared a snap of her smiling and waving at the door as she celebrated becoming a great grandmother.
Captioning the post, Charlotte wrote: “Look at how cute they look. Very successful trip.”
She then completed the post with a series of love hearts.
The news comes just two months after Charlotte had revealed the news of her pregnancy to the world, with one of her biggest supporters being her grandmother, whose reaction was described by the star as “the best thing in the world.”
Sharing a video after breaking the news, the expectant mum could be seen looking fresh faced and jubilant as her mum drove her home from her grandma’s house following the bombshell news.
"I've got no words. We're just driving from me nana's house, we've just told my nana. And it was the best thing in the world.”
She then turned to her mum to ask: "Mum was that your favourite person finding out? Why?" To which Letitia replied: "She looked better than what I did, hair was done and everything!”
Charlotte shares a very special relationship with her nana, even introducing the pensioner to the world of FaceTime so that they could remain in touch throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
