Coleen Rooney ‘thanked me for Wagatha support’, says Danielle Lloyd
Like us, Danielle Lloyd was gripped by the Wagatha Christie trial that saw Rebekah Vardy attempt to sue Coleen Rooney over claims Rebekah was leaking stories to the press about her.
The outcome saw the judge rule in Coleen’s favour and Danielle, who found herself drawn into proceedings when she was criticised in several of Rebekah’s texts during the trial, couldn’t be more pleased for her friend, who thanked her for being by her side.
“I spoke to Coleen and she thanked me for the support, which was really nice,” she said. “I’m just so happy for her and happy that she actually got justice.
“And the people who got named – like me, Peter [Andre] – I didn’t want to be dragged into it. There was no need for some of those text messages. They contained some really nasty, catty comments. She [Rebekah] said they were private text messages and no one was ever meant to see them. But I don’t say things like that about people, even in private. I’m not a nasty person. I found it quite hurtful.”
Danielle’s miscarriage from 2019 was also detailed in the shocking messages, which were produced as evidence in court. It’s something that brought back horrible memories.
“I didn’t want people discussing that sort of thing. I’d just had Autumn as well,” she says. “It just wasn’t nice and made me really emotional. I’m quite a strong person, but it triggered some bad memories.”
Danielle, who says she hasn’t yet been asked to appear in Coleen’s Disney+ documentary, also waded in on Rebekah Vardy’s post-verdict TV interview. And it’s fair to say she wasn’t impressed.
“It was shocking. I think she was looking for sympathy. Some of it was laughable. I think she should leave the subject alone now and accept the judge’s decision. I just laughed when she said, ‘If I saw Coleen, I’d take her for a coffee.’ I said, ‘There’s more chance of Boris Johnson being Prime Minister again!’”
Elsewhere Danielle has revealed she is trying for her sixth child – a baby sister for daughter Autumn using the Babydust Method.
The star exclusively announced the news to OK! saying: "I’ve gone through ups and downs and I just can’t imagine Autumn not having a little sister to grow up with. I just think it’s nice to have sisters close together so they’ve always got each other’s backs. Girls can be quite bitchy, can’t they? I never had a sister, so I think it would be nice for Autumn. I’m thinking more of her than me."
