The former professional footballer was dressed head-to-toe in designer gear but had opted to wear neutral colours.
David, 47, wore a beige t-shirt teamed with cream trousers paired with tan moccasins, keeping his eyes shielded with dark sunglasses.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, he told his 76.3 million followers that he was “not dressed for the occasion”.
David could be seen kneeling at the wheel of the large black car – which had been jacked up for the sports star.
He captioned the post: “Not exactly dressed for the occasion. I mean not every day is perfect.”
His appearance in Qatar had been met with controversy after the sports star reportedly accepted a £150m paycheck from the country.
