David Beckham left heartbroken over daughter Harpers school request

David Beckham was left heartbroken over his eleven year old daughter Harper's request for when he drops her off at school.

His wife of 21 years, Victoria Beckham, 48, told of David's heartbreak as she shared that Harper requested that David "drop her a little bit away" from the school, leaving the legendary former footballer to question if he was "uncool" to his daughter.

Speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shephard, Victoria described her own childhood school experience, as she revealed that she and her sister Louise would beg their father, Tony Adams, not to drop them off in his ostentatious Rolls Royce.

Victoria said: "We had the Rolls Royce but because he was an electrical wholesaler he also had a van.

"Me and my sister used to say, "please drop us in the van.'"

The fashion designer further explained: "I think more children at school were being dropped off in a van so when we were in the Rolls, we would be like, 'Oh please.. drop us down the road.'"

Mum of four Victoria then recalled a recent conversation she had with husband David, 47, in which history repeated itself with their only daughter.

"David was having this conversation the other night," she shared. "He was dropping off Harper who is our youngest daughter. She is eleven."

Victoria continued: "She said, 'Daddy can you drop me a little bit away from the school.'

"Firstly, he was heartbroken. She's our youngest daughter and already this is happening."

She went on: "[David] asked, 'Is it uncool that I am your dad?' To be honest what hope do the other kids have."

David and Victoria are proud parents to four children: Brooklyn, 23; Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17, and daughter Harper, 11, and the family are known to be very close.

Their eldest son Brooklyn isn't seen with his family as much as he used to, as he spends increasing time in America with his wife of eight months, model and actress, Nicola Peltz.

The pair tied the knot in April in a star-studded £3 million wedding that took place at Nicola's family's lavish Malibu home.

The wedding was attended by the likes of Victoria and David's BFF's Gordon and Tana Ramsay and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.

Months after the wedding, however, there appeared to be discord between the newlyweds and Brooklyn's parents, David and Victoria, which was later addressed by Nicola.

She opened up on the reports that Victoria was unable to make her wedding dress, leaving her choosing a Valentino Couture gown instead.

In an interview with Variety, Nicola said: "I was going to [wear a dress of Victoria's design] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn't do it, so then I had to pick another dress."

"She didn't say you can't wear it; I didn't say I didn't want to wear it."
