‘Ekin-Su is carrying Love Island – without her it would be boring,’ says ex-contestant
Anna Vakili has praised Love Island contestant Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, saying that this year's series "would be so boring" without her as she's "carrying the show".
Ekin-Su, 27, has found herself at the centre of a lot of drama in the villa so far this series, having been coupled up with Davide Sanclimenti before going on to express interest in bombshell Jay Younger, before going back to Davide.
Anna, 31, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show back in 2019, opened up to OK! at the TRIC Awards on Wednesday 6 July about this year's series, and revealed that she's a big fan of Ekin-Su.
"She’s carrying the show, without her it would be so boring," the former Islander said.

She added: "With TV we need people like that with big personalities and she’s got a big personality."
Anna also opened up about what it's like coming out of the villa and back into the real world, branding the experience "overwhelming".
“I don’t think there is any way of mentally preparing for [the show]. Just be aware that when you first come out, it’s very overwhelming but it won’t always be like that.
"Things will settle down. And ignore and don’t look at hate comments," she told OK!

She went on to admit she wished she'd "avoided" reading hateful comments about herself after her stint on the show, saying: "When I first got out of the villa, I was reading all the horrible things about me and I wish I’d avoided it."
Anna was unsuccessful in her quest to find love in the Love Island villa, but she's grateful for the "opportunities" that the show has presented her with.
“I’m so grateful for all the opportunities that Love Island brings. I might not have fell in love but I got other things from it," she added.
The 31 year old has remained close with her fellow Islanders too, having formed long-lasting friendships with Amber Gill, Amy Hart, Yewande Biala and Francesca Allen.
She's also found love outside of the villa, and has recently reunited with her boyfriend following a brief split.
Anna revealed: “It’s been about a month now, hopefully it works out. If it does, by the end of the summer, I’ll make it public with him."
