Emily Ratajkowski’s Estranged Husband Sebastian Bear-McClard Accused Of Sexual Misconduct By Multiple Women
Several allegations are being made against Emily Ratajkowski’s estranged husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.
For those who don’t know, a report from RadarOnline came out in September 2022 revealing the 42-year-old producer was “fired” in July from his own company Elara Pictures, which he co-founded with Josh and Benny Safdie and producer Oscar Boyson in 2014. The reason? Sources claimed there were “complaints about his behavior.”
At the time, no other details about his alleged actions were revealed. The accusations must have been pretty bad to get axed from his own company, but Sebastian told Page Six that he was simply “taking some time off from work to deal with my mother’s health and the well being of my family.” However, it would seem there is a chance that was not entirely the case for his absence. Because months later, several women have come forward to accuse him of disturbing behavior during his time at Elara Pictures.

According to a report from Variety on Wednesday, one woman claimed she was only 17 years old when Sebastian reached out to her on Instagram and met with her at a loft in Soho before offering her a small role in his movie Good Time. According to the then-teen, she was super excited about the part at first, especially since she thought she would get to meet Robert Pattinson. However, she says this dream opportunity soon turned into a nightmare the moment she stepped onto the set.
On the day of filming, the woman claimed she had no clue what her scene in the movie was about. But the next thing she knew, she says, she was standing naked in front of nearly a dozen male cast and crew members, including Josh and Benny Safdie. To make matters worse, she was allegedly then forced to work with an actor who had recently been released from prison before being hired for the film. The aspiring actress told the outlet that she “was utterly stunned and felt terrified” that day, especially when her scene partner began to make her feel uncomfortable:
“My distress only worsened when out of nowhere, whispered in my ear if ‘he could stick it in’ while the cameras rolled. I said ‘no.’”
What the f**k?!!!
The disturbing scene did not make it into the final cut of the project, but her name does still appear in the credits. A source also told Variety that the scene was presented to buyers at the Cannes market in 2016, and A24 bought the movie based on that footage. Rather than getting paid, the woman said Sebastian only bought her cigarettes after the shoot and claims she does not receive residuals from A24 to this day. But there’s more. When production ended for the project, the woman allegedly began sleeping with Sebastian, and they had a romantic relationship for over two years. (The age of consent is 17 in New York state.)
Other women have also spoken out about his alleged behavior, even calling Sebastian a predator who went after young women on set. During the production of the drama Uncut Gems, another woman, who was 18 at the time, said she first met the filmmaker on set when he was married to Emily. But she claims Sebastian started “grooming” her on Instagram by making her promises about career opportunities. Things apparently escalated from there. The woman recalled one incident at the former couple’s apartment, saying:
“Sebastian and I started kissing. Things escalated and then, without asking for my consent, Sebastian inserted himself inside me without using a condom.”
Additionally, the woman alleges Sebastian would use derogatory language against her, and that he would even track her through an app on her phone. That same woman went on to claim that he started messaging a 15-year-old girl (WHAT?!) on Instagram who was not involved in the Uncut Gems production but had visited the set before. When she asked him about it, she said:
“Sebastian appeared pleased with himself and laughed at my comment. He did not deny my accusations.”
Disgusting. A third woman, who worked on multiple independent films as an intern and assistant, did not mention workplace sexual misconduct in a statement to Variety. However, she shared that there was some concerning behavior from Sebastian. Several sources told Variety his contact with the 15-year-old and his relationship with a female assistant on the Uncut Gem set led to his firing. While Sebastian has not commented on the allegations, a spokeswoman for the Safdie brothers confirmed to the outlet that he was fired in July over his behavior:
“The Elara team were made aware of Sebastian McClard’s behavior in July 2022. They took immediate action and terminated him.”
EmRata, who is currently going through a divorce with Sebastian, declined to comment. Her friends told the outlet that she is “not surprised” by the accusations.
What an awful situation. Reactions to the allegations, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
