EXC: Scarlette Douglas ghosted by ALL her I'm A Celebrity co-stars

EXCLUSIVE: ‘I guess no one’s missing me!’ Scarlette Douglas reveals she’s been ghosted by ALL her I’m A Celebrity co-stars – just two months after the series ended

Scarlette Douglas has revealed she’s been ghosted by all her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here co-stars, just two months after the past series ended.

The presenter, 35, explained how she wrote a message in their WhatsApp group a few days ago asking how they all were – but not one person responded.

She exclusively told MailOnline: ‘I just said, “Hey, team, how are you all? I miss you lots.” And no one replied. I guess that means no one’s missing me.’

However Scarlette did go on to assure a get-together is in the calendar as Chris Moyles is holding a birthday party in a few weeks.

The former A Place In The Sun host continued: ‘We’re all going to be there so we’ll have a nice little mini reunion, which will be good.’

Scarlette was the second to be eliminated after Charlene White while Jill Scott was crowned Queen of the Jungle and Owen Warner was runner-up. Matt Hancock came in at third place.

The TV personality recently announced her green card to work in the U.S. had been approved and that she can’t wait to take her presenting career across the pond.

But Scarlette has now revealed she made the application since she felt there would be more opportunities for people of colour in America’s entertainment industry.

She explained: ‘That is exactly why I first applied for my green card. I don’t feel as though there’s that glass ceiling in the States, because they’re a lot more open.

‘They have so many more channels and networks and opportunities for people like me to be seen.

‘There’s a show called The Real, it’s basically like Loose Women but for a full black panel. Now, we’ve had Loose Women with a full black panel… but it’s like, “Oh my goodness, it’s one particular day where it’s a black panel of women,” whereas it should just be a norm of, “Oh, it’s a panel of women.”

‘In America, that’s just the norm. No-one questions the fact that the first day of Black History Month or whatever is the full black panel, it’s just the way it is, it’s not questioned.’

Scarlette recounted a time where she and her brother Stuart received an influx of racially-charged tweets following the debut of their show, Worst House On The Street, in August 2022 which featured a black couple looking to transform their house.

She said: ‘When I realised there is still a little bit of a stigma and sticking point here is when Worst House On The Street series one, when the very first episode aired.

‘It was myself and my brother, we’re both black, and then the couple we were filming with were a black couple. The backlash that we got on social media and, you know, tweets to me and to Channel 4 and to me and my brother.

‘They were saying, “So has it just got to be black all the time now. Why is it for black people? I don’t want to go to Croydon, it’s just black people.”

‘I don’t think I tweeted back, I don’t like to give it airtime. But in my head, I was thinking, “Don’t worry guys, the next five episodes, you have white couples,” but I shouldn’t have to justify that, it doesn’t have to be a thing.

‘So I do think America is a lot more open. But at the same time, we have conversations and I speak to some of my black male friends who are in entertainment or in music or in sport, who would love to go to America but also then there’s that worry of, well, what’s police brutality like over there with black males?

‘There are so many things to think about but I would just love to go over there and at least try and just see what happens.’

The property expert recently admitted she’d been struggling in her quest to find love, claiming the only guys sliding into her DMs are ‘quite questionable’.

However, she’s now confirmed her comments have caused a ‘ridiculous’ amount of men to get in touch.

Scarlette hilariously recounted one chat-up line which read: ‘Are you French because Eiffel for you?’

She added: ‘You know, Eiffel Tower? I’ve had many but that’s got to be the worst I’ve ever had. It really made me laugh, to be fair.

‘There have been too many to reply back to and a lot of them they will start the message with “I’m not a creep or anything…” so I’m like, “Are you a creep?”

Oh dear! The property expert recently admitted she’d been struggling in her quest to find love, claiming the only guys sliding into her DMs are ‘quite questionable’

‘Yeah, so I’m a bit dubious about who I actually respond to. But I am very busy so I’m still kind of hoping it will happen naturally and organically.

‘I’m still part of the old school mentality you might just bump into your love while you’re both running to get on the same train carriage, you look into each other’s eyes and all of a sudden, everything goes slo-mo around you.

‘I would love for that to happen. Whether or not it will, I don’t know. I’m 35 and that hasn’t happened just yet. But one can dream and wish and hope.’
