Gabby Logan reveals her preperations to turn 50 and 'never slow down'
‘I won’t ever retire!’: Gabby Logan reveals that she isn’t letting turning 50 slow her down – as she details her husband Kenny Logan’s ‘challenging’ cancer battle
She’s set celebrate her 50th birthday this April.
But Gabby Logan has made it clear that she won’t be slowing down or reaching for the ‘elasticated waistbands and beige trousers’ anytime soon.
Instead, the TV star has opted to mark her impending milestone with a stunning photoshoot with magazine Woman & Home.
The Welsh presenter looked gorgeous as she posed barefoot in a pink dress for some snaps, while another shot shows her giving an apparent nod to Dirty Dancing’s penny in a pair of black heels, polka dot tights and a body suit.
As her big birthday looms, the former international rhythmic gymnast said she has no plans to ‘slow down’.

‘Turning 50 is not what it was,’ she told the magazine. ‘Thirty years ago, at this age, you’d be looking forward to an early retirement, and starting to wear elasticated waistbands and beige trousers.
‘There’s a lot more I want to do in telly, with my podcast, and now I’ve written one book, I want to do more.
‘The other day, my son said, ‘You’ll be a nightmare when you retire,’ and I said, ‘I don’t think I ever will!’ I don’t feel at all like I want to slow down.’
Gabby, a keen runner, credits working in sport and her former athlete career with staying fit and healthy.
She explained: ‘Working in sport makes it easier to be healthy. ‘I know how important it is for women over 40 to lift weights, first of all to protect the body against osteoporosis.
‘For me, Pilates is unbelievably beneficial for my body and how I feel. I’m now also definitely much more mindful about eating well.’
Gabby has previously admitted to surviving on ‘mono diets’ of courgettes, cauliflowers or oranges as a teenager struggling with her body image.
While she is also preparing for her own teenage children, 17-year-old twins Lois and Reuben, to fly the nest. Reuben will go to university or focus on playing rugby while Lois is planning a gap year.

Gabby, whose father was late Welsh football star Terry Yorath, said she won’t ‘sit and mourn’ when they leave home as it ‘will send a message that they can’t do what they want to do’.

The star said: ‘Lois has a little sofa in her room. I think I will go and sit on it and look at her things. I’ll probably also only need to get a quarter of the food I buy because they eat so much. All those things will be a big shock to the system.’
She and her husband, Scottish rugby player Kenny Logan, 50, welcomed the twins through IVF.
But this past year, the couple, who have been married for more than 20 years, endured a challenging time after the sportsman was diagnosed with prostate cancer before losing two friends, one to cancer and the other, former Scotland rugby international Doddie Wier, to motor neurone disease.
‘Kenny’s had a really emotional year,’ she said. ‘He has had a lot of challenges this past year, at a time when I’ve been super busy. All things that come along in a marriage and a life are tests.’
