Georgia Harrison suing Stephen Bear for ‘destroying her career’ after revenge porn hell
Georgia Harrison has revealed her plans to sue ex Stephen Bear for "destroying her career" after he made her life hell with his revenge porn crimes.
The former Love Island and TOWIE star, 28, has opened up on the impacts and effect Bear's actions have had on her work opportunities as she spoke for the first time following the Celebrity Big Brother winner's prison sentencing.
Bear, 33, was jailed for filming and selling CCTV footage of him and Georgia having sex in his garden, which he filmed in secret.
Speaking in a new interview, Georgia said that many people "don't realise" how much her career was "damaged" by Bear's actions.
"People look at me now and they go, you know, 'she has a documentary, she's in the press, everything's fine,' but they don't realise that I’ve gone through two years of being dropped by every brand who ever worked with me," the star told The Sun.
"I haven't been on television in the last two years whatsoever since this happened, and my career was thriving prior to it.
"I really did lose a lot down to his actions and that's why I feel I have every right to sue him, and claim back some of the money that he lost me," Georgia added to the publication.
Bear was found guilty of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private, sexual photographs and films by Judge Christopher Morgan.
The Judge said sending the CBB star to prison was the "only appropriate" punishment for his crimes.
Bear was then sentenced to 21 months behind bars and refused to apologise to Georgia in court.
On Monday 20 March, Georgia will also talk about her ordeal in ITV2 documentary Revenge Porn: Georgia vs Bear, which she has been filming for over two years.
In the doc, Georgia will meet other victims of revenge porn as she attempts to process and move forward from her own experience.
Speaking in the clip, Georgia said: “I was silenced for so long and I literally suffered in ways the public really never got to see.
“This documentary is about my personal revenge porn story and how this crime is affecting individuals and society in general.
"My hope is that by sharing my story, I can bring some faith and reassurance to those who have suffered from similar experiences.
"And I also hope to educate the younger generation on the seriousness of this crime and just how devastating it can truly be,” she added.
Revenge Porn: Georgia vs Bear airs March 20 at 10pm on ITV
