Goldie Hawn turned 77 on Monday, and daughter Kate Hudson took to Instagram to shower her with praise.

Kate shared a montage of photos of the pair together, exclaiming to her 16 million followers: “So lucky I get to celebrate my beautiful mother everyday BUT TODAY Nov 21 was the day she was born!

“I wonder if God knew what had been concocted in the stars to create this beaming light?”

Praising the veteran actress for blazing trails, she continued that her mum “cut a lot of those weeds that love to scratch at women’s ankles trying to get us to turn back” in the process.

She added affectionately: “My mother’s life is a treasure trove of wisdom that I feel deeply honored to know intimately.”

Kate Hudson also invited her 16 million followers to witness the bond between her mother and her child, who were captured kissing while wearing a queen crown and a princess tiara respectively. Rani is Kate’s only daughter, as well as her first child with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.

Kate Hudson promised in an impassioned speech on Instagram to celebrate Goldie Hawn’s birthday that she “continues to aspire to be the best mother and grandmother… and is winning at that”. This photo of herself and granddaughter Rani peering into the window of a jeweller’s shop is another example of their touching bond.
