Great British Bake Off final ‘descends into chaos as all three bakers struggle with the technical challenge and their showstoppers fail to impress’

The Great British Bake Off’s final descends into chaos on Tuesday as all three bakers fail to impress with their culinary skills. 

According to The Mirror Sandro Farmhouse, 30, Syabira Yusoff, 32, and Abdul Rehman Sharif, 29, all come a cropper the both the technical and showstopper challenges. 

The trio find themselves struggling early in the episode when hosts Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith ask them to create summer pudding bomb – with no instructions.

The trio flounder when creating the delicious dish with the winner being the best of a bad bunch. 

Paul later declares the champion dessert ‘only half set’ and not worth of any applause.

Then the hopefuls are tasked with creating a lavish edible sculpture based on the theme of ‘our beautiful planet’ as their final showstopper.

And while some elements are praised by the judges they also call the lavish creations ‘burnt’ ‘messy’ and even describe one as a ‘failure’. 

However before the final bake Prue, 82, declares: ‘I don’t care who wins, I just love them all.’

Meanwhile Paul 56, said he believed the invited audience in the tent added extra pressure to the contestants.

He said: ‘They [bakers] are all in with shout of winning. But they start spotting their friends in the corner and the tension really rises.’

Paul has been relationship with the pub landlady, 38, for the past three years and is said to have quietly proposed a few months ago.

The TV star was married to his ex-wife Alexandra for 19 years but they announced their split in 2017. Their relationship broke down over cheating allegations.

Following their break-up, Paul went public with his romance with Summer Monteys-Fullam, 26, but they then announced their split in 2019.

Sources close the couple told The Sun: ‘Paul proposed some months ago, but they have been keeping it very quiet since then.

‘It’s only in the past month that she has begun wearing her engagement ring out in public, and sharing their news with friends.

‘There are no wedding plans in place yet.’

Insiders suggested that Paul asked Melissa to marry him over Easter earlier this year, but she has only just started wearing her engagement ring publicly.
