Harry’s memoir ‘won’t see light of day’ as there’ll be ‘no way back’, says expert

Prince Harry's memoir "won't see light of day", according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, has been working on a tell-all book about his life and has been making alterations since the Queen's passing.

However according to The Daily Telegraph, royal biographer Tina Brown doesn't believe the book will be published as it would mean the Prince would have "no way back" into royal life.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex moved away as working members of the royal family last year after "stepping back" the year before.

They have since relocated to the United States of America, where they are raising their two children Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, three, and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, one.

Speaking about the memoir, Brown said: "'They are now in this bind, where they've taken all this money and Harry has made this book deal where he's supposed to spill everything about his horrible life as a royal, but now he's actually tortured about it because he understands there is no way back if he does it.

"If the book continues, I don't think there is any way for Harry to return. So my view has always been that the book won't see the light of day."

Brown, who is the author of The Diana Chronicles and The Palace Papers, also insisted that Prince Harry's mother Princess Diana would have wanted him to eventually return to royal life.

Before the altercations, Prince Harry's book was set to be released in Autumn as part of a near £40million three-title deal.

A source told The Sun: "Eventually, the final draft has been finished and signed off and a lot of money and energy has been spent to make sure it comes out this year.

"But Harry has thrown a spanner in the works as he is desperate to get it refined in the light of the Queen’s death, her funeral and his father Charles taking the throne."

They added: "There may be things which might not look so good if they come out so soon after the Queen’s death and his dad becoming King.

"He wants sections changed. It’s not a total rewrite by any means. He desperately wants to make changes. But it might be too late."

Prince Harry and Meghan returned to the United Kingdom at the start of September for charity events.

However, they ended up staying longer than expected due to the Queen's death.

They have since returned to their residence in California.
