Jamie Lee Curtis had been in floods of tears after winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar last weekend for her gripping role in Everything Everywhere All At Once. However, the 64-year-old then placed it alongside her fictional character Deidre Beaubeidre’s trophy for Auditor Of The Month – and the visual result left fans in hysterics.
After sharing a snap of the two trophies together on Instagram, some of the star’s 5.1 million followers came forward to share their amusement.
“Are we not gonna talk about the shape of the auditor of the month award?” one chuckled.
Meanwhile, another jokingly suggested that whoever had designed the trophy “should be prosecuted and asked a few questions”.
Another fan mischievously asked if she could borrow the item, which looked a lot like an X-rated prop.

Chelsea Handler, on the other hand, completely ignored the elephant in the room and instead exclaimed in celebration: “Yeah, yeah, yeah!! Who deserves this more than you? So awesome.”
Fellow actress Michelle Pfeiffer had been equally silent about the humorous post, instead sending a series of clapping emojis.
Meanwhile, Jamie Lee made an effort to champion diversity when she announced that her new Academy Award was to be gender-neutral.
The tearful star described the gong as having “they/them” pronouns in tribute to her transgender daughter, Ruby.
On the Today show earlier this week, she sobbed via live video link and stroked the trophy emotionally as she held it to her face.
Not only does the trophy mean a lot to her, but so does her relationship with Ruby, 27.
“Here they are! In support of my daughter Ruby, I’m having them be a they/them,” she announced, while gleefully holding the award up.
“I’m just going to call them ‘them’, they/them. And they are doing great. They are settling in!”
Ruby, who works as a video game editor for a Youtuber, had previously taken part in a joint interview with her famous mum to announce her gender identity to the world.
Talking to People magazine back in 2021, she explained that people around her would now “finally get to see who I’ve always been… now [that] I finally get to show it on the outside”.
Jamie Lee added that she was a “grateful student” who was trying her best to learn about the terminology Ruby wanted her to use and hoping to avoid making “big mistakes”.
She added that she had already “slipped up” twice in one day but aspired for it to come more naturally to her with time.
However, just a few months ago, Jamie Lee’s conversation about her daughter took a darker tone, as she admitted that she fears for her in an interview with Spanish magazine Cadena SER.
“There are real threats [towards my] trans daughter,” the actress revealed.
“There are threats against her life, just her existence as a human being. There are people that want to annihilate her, and people like her,” she added sadly.
Meanwhile, at the Oscars ceremony last weekend, in an emotional speech, the star suggested that the world is “nowhere near there” when it comes to recognising and celebrating diversity.
