Jeremy Kyle’s daughter rushed to hospital after being bitten by a spider in her sleep

Jeremy Kyle has revealed his teenage daughter was taken to hospital after being bitten by a spider while she slept.

The presenter opened up on the shocking incident on Mike Graham's TalkTV show – describing how 17 year old Ava suffered a nasty reaction to the bite just before Christmas.

Jeremy, 57, said: "This is a genuinely true story. Two days before Christmas my daughter was bitten by a spider in her sleep. Nobody knew anything about it.

"She ended up in hospital."

Jeremy made hisTV comebackwith his own TalkTV in October last year. The presenter had spent 14 years frontingThe Jeremy Kyle Show up until May 2019 when it was axed after the tragic death of guestSteve Dymond.

Steve, who was 63 at the time, passed away just days after he recorded an episode. He took his own life after failing a lie-detector test on the show to prove he wasn’t cheating on his fiancee.

Filming and broadcasting of the show was immediately suspended and Jeremy disappeared from screens.

Speaking of his return to TalkTV, he said: “Jeremy Kyle Live will be making sense of the stories that matter; speaking the language of the British people and providing practical help as we all try and navigate our way through current times. I can’t wait to be a part of TalkTV’s amazing new primetime lineup.”

But his return was met withmixed reviewswith some viewers elated that he was back on screen while others were less enthused.

Jeremy shares daughters Harriet, 32, Alice, 18, and Ava, 17, and a son Henry, 13, with ex-wife Carla Germaine.

He became a father again when wife Vicky Burton gave birth to their son Oliver in 2020.

He shared a sweet snap of himself and little Oliver enjoying a trip to Lapland before Christmas.

Alongside the picture, the doting dad wrote: "A truly magical morning @laplanduk which I can’t recommend highly enough."
