The star’s latest post comes after his Hollywood career has been thrown into serious doubt, as a source close to the star recently revealed that acting is no longer a ‘priority’ to him following his horrific snow plow accident.
An insider who has recently spent time with Jeremy told DailyMail.com exclusively that ‘although he does still love acting, Hollywood is just not a priority to him anymore’.
According to the source, Jeremy’s focuses have shifted away from his on-screen career in the wake of his terrifying New Year’s Day accident at his Lake Tahoe home, where he was crushed under a 14,000-pound snow plow, breaking more than 30 bones.
‘Jeremy believes that he survived the accident so that he can use his platform to really create change in the world,’ the insider shared.
‘He is very proud of the work that he has done, but this entire situation has really shown him that there is so much more that he could be doing to help others,’ the insider says.
Jeremy has since left the Lake Tahoe home where the accident occurred and has returned to his Los Angeles property, where he is focusing on his recovery – having been left unable to walk as a result of the injuries he sustained during the incident.
The source continued that Jeremy’s mother Valerie, 69 – who accompanied him to the 2010 Oscars – has been a ‘tremendous’ source of support for the star, revealing that she has ‘been by his side as much as possible’.
‘His mother come to stay with him most weekends, as well as his daughter Ava,’ the friend says, referring to his nine-year-old child with ex Sonni Pocheco.

Jeremy, who was crushed by a 14,000-pound snow plow at his Lake Tahoe home, has now returned to LA and is focusing on his physical recovery, including re-learning how to walk
The friend went on to add: ‘He is really only focused on his recovery and is doing rehabilitation to learn how to walk again. Jeremy knows he is so lucky to be alive.
‘Each day is a little better than before and he is definitely making progress, but the progress is slow.’
DailyMail.com has contacted Jeremy’s spokesperson for additional comment.
On New Year’s Day, Jeremy was ran over by a seven ton snowplow while helping his nephew to remove his care from the driveway at his residence near Reno, Nevada, after the vehicle got stuck in the snow.
However, his snow plow began to slide down a street after the car was towed, which prompted the actor to jump out of its cab.
After he exited the vehicle, Renner realized that it could potentially hit his nephew, who was with him at the time of the incident. The Mayor of Kingstown star then attempted to re-enter the snow plow in order to divert its path but he was pulled under its left side track and run over during the attempt.
In a 911 call made by a neighbor, Jeremy could be heard in agony in the background. The caller feared that he would bleed out due to his injuries.
He was airlifted to a hospital in Reno where he was listed in critical condition with 30 broken bones, a crushed chest and a collapsed torso.

The Marvel took to his Instagram recently to share that much of the snow that barricaded the front entrance of his home had melted
Although Jeremy is taking a step back from Hollywood in the wake of the accident, fans will still be able to see him on the screen when he releases a four-part documentary series, Rennervations, on Disney+ in April.
Rennervations – which the star completed prior to the snow plow incident – details Jeremy’s ‘lifelong passion to give back to communities around the world by reimagining unique purpose-built vehicles to meet a community’s needs.’
In the trailer, the Marvel movie hero jokes about the fact that his Avengers’ fans thought that he went ‘off the rails’ because this project is so different from his previous work.
‘I’m buying these decommissioned government vehicles to help reimagine them to serve this community again just in a different way,’ Jeremy says in the trailer about the project.
‘I decided to reimagine repurpose and renovate these vehicles and I wanted to it for communities and help kids all over the world. There’s a lot of concern on the Avengers family chat like, you know, what is Renner doing? He’s going a little off the rails.’
Although he is unable to promote Rennervations in the way he wants to at the moment, Jeremy appears to be keeping a positive outlook about his involvement in the future.
Jeremy has continued to update social media followers on his recovery and progress, which began when he took a selfie in the days following the accident from his hospital bed in the ICU.
‘Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all,’ wrote in the caption next to a photo of Jeremy with bruises all over his face.

Jeremy has continued to update social media followers on his recovery and progress, sharing a video of himself building up his leg strength on a bike last month
He later shared a clip of himself being pampered by his supportive sister and mother as he received a relaxing scalp massage.
Later that month, Jeremy shared footage with his fans of what appeared to be him getting wheeled into a room for a CT scan and MRI.
In February, the star said he was doing ‘whatever it takes’ in his recovery, while sharing a video himself trying to improve his leg strength with the help of a Technogym bike.
He added that he is also prioritizing his ‘mental recovery’ as he curled up by a fire and cracked open The Book of Awakening, a ‘spiritual daybook’ written by philosopher, poet, and cancer survivor Mark Nepo.
