Jersey Shores Mike The Situation Sorrentino welcomes baby daughter with wife Lauren

Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has welcomed a little girl with his wife, Lauren.

Mike, 40, took to Instagram to share the news alongside snaps of their newborn daughter.

“We got an amazing Situation!!!” he penned.

“We are beyond over joyed to welcome our little girl into this world to join our growing family of 4."

The TV star went on to share that they’ve named their tot Mia Bella Elizabeth Sorrentino, and that she was born at 8:22 am on Tuesday 24 January, weighing five pounds, 15 ounces.

Mike’s celebrity pals have since gushed over the pair’s new arrival, with Jersey Shore co-star Pauly D leading the comments.

“Sooo beyond precious,” he wrote alongside a string of heart emojis, as Deena Nicole Cortese said: “Congratulations [heart emojis] beautiful family."

“Congratulations,” added Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley next to a party popper and champagne emoji.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi went on: “Twins! So excited to meet her!”

Mia’s arrival comes just 18 months after the birth of Mike and Lauren’s first child.

The happy couple welcomed son Romeo in June 2021, two years on from suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage.

Sharing a sweet picture of him shortly after the birth, Romeo could be seen wrapped up in a personalised blanket donned with his name and a little crown design all over.

The doting dad went on to share several pictures of their adorable son in the first few hours after his birth, smiling away in his crib alongside their first family photos together.

Mike and Lauren first met in college when Lauren was 19 and Mike was 22, but it wasn’t until 2012 that the couple started dating again.

Since then, the childhood sweethearts have gone from strength to strength and tied the knot in November 2018.

The pair later opened up about their issues with fertility after they suffered a miscarriage in September 2019, shortly after Mike came home from prison for tax fraud.

Mike’s announcement comes on the same day that the sixth season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs in the US today, Thursday 26 January.

The synopsis for the new series – which stars the original cast – reads: "From Hollywood to New Orleans and beyond, the fam fist pumps their way across the U.S.A. on a new season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation."

Previous series of the show are available to watch in the UK on Paramount+, Sky Go, and Now TV.
