A Place In The Sun star Jonnie Irwin has given fans an insight into his home after investing in a new fireplace this week. The 49-year-old said he was “so stoked” by the new addition as they prepare for Christmas.
The presenter began by showing fans the space he made for his new fire stove as he discussed his home improvements.
Speaking as he filmed, he could be heard saying it was an “exciting day today”.
In the video, the wooden floors could be seen covered with blue plastic covers in preparation to decorate.
The room also featured green walls, a large cream corner sofa and a wall-mounted TV.
Of his new fireplace, he went on to say: “They are putting in that, and I am so stoked! I love a fire. The cabinets are made.
“Bit of decorating to be done but this room is really taking shape.”
The presenter then turned the camera around to show his followers into his conservatory which had a row of logs along the windowsill.
“And then hopefully, I can burn that wood supply that I’ve been drying out for the past month or so. Happy boy today,” he concluded.
Jonnie and his wife Jessica moved from Hertfordshire to Newcastle with their three sons, Rex, Rafa and Corma, last year.
Last month, the property expert announced he has terminal cancer and doesn’t know if this Christmas will be his last.
The presenter was initially diagnosed with lung cancer and it then spread to his brain.
He told Hello! Magazine: “I don’t know how long I have left, but I try to stay positive and my attitude is that I’m living with cancer, not dying from it.
