Kanye West Temporarily Deactivates Instagram Account
The ‘Donda’ artist has yet to reveal why he decided to bid farewell to Instagram, but he often created controversies on the social media platform by attacking fellow celebrities.
AceShowbiz –Kanye West has stepped away from Instagram, at least for now. The “N***as in Paris” hitmaker let everyone know that he temporarily deactivated his account on the photo-sharing platform.
On Tuesday, April 18, the 45-year-old unleashed a screenshot of the Instagram deactivation page, which showed that he was ready to disable the account. Shortly afterward, his account is not found.
It was unclear why Kanye made the decision. Fans, however, were wondering whether he has new music on the way. “whats he planning,” one person asked, while another speculated, “Ye aka Kanye West has desactivated his Instagram account. Focused on the new album?”
While this time Ye didn’t seem to cause a problem on Instagram, he used to create controversies on the platform. In March 2022, his page was suspended for 24 hours after he attacked Trevor Noah with racial slurs.
According to a Meta spokesperson, Ye’s recent posts “violated Instagram’s policies on hate speech, harassment and bullying.” The rapper himself called out the comedian for weighing in on the drama between him, his ex Kim Kardashian and her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
In October 2022, Ye was banned from the platform due to his anti-Semitic comments. He made his return on March 5 of this year by taking a dig at Balenciaga, which held its first fashion show following its campaign controversy.
At the time, Ye shared a picture of one of the looks from the French luxury house’s Fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection which was shown at the Sunday show. The image featured a male model donning a body-fitted ensemble which consists of a top and pants in a matching gray color, which he paired with red shades and space warrior-themed boots. In the accompanying message, Ye penned, “Write a caption….”
