Kate Ferdinand proudly supports husband Rio as hes made an OBE by Prince William
Kate Ferdinand was there to proudly support her husband, footballer Rio Ferdinand, as he was made an OBE by Prince William on Tuesday.
Former TOWIE star Kate, 31, was every inch the proud wife as her husband, 44, received his OBE medal at Windsor Castle, in recognition of his services to sport and charity.
Since his footballing days, Rio has devoted much of his retirement tackling social problems facing the nation's youth.
Rio's wife Kate looked incredible in a pale pink co-ord which featured a top with a high neck and long sleeves and wide-legged trousers, which perfectly matched her wide-brimmed hat and court shoes.
Her blonde hair was slicked back into an elegant chignon, and she used a neutral-hued palette for her makeup to complete the look.
Rio looked dapper in a morning suit, which featured dark grey tweed trousers and a cream waistcoat worn over a white shirt and a tie in the same material as his trousers.
He beamed as he held up his OBE in the grounds of Windsor Castle, which is where the investiture ceremony took place.
Rio was handed the medal by Prince William, 40, who's official title is now the Prince of Wales, and the pair chatted warmly as they exchanged pleasantries during the ceremony.
Prince William recently confessed that he was a big fan of Rio's, on a new video posted to YouTube where he discussed football and the life lessons it teaches you, alongside Harry Kane and Declan Rice.
William recalled some of his own experiences of playing football throughout his life, and even credited footballing legend Rio as his "inspiration".
William joked: “He was ahead of me just a little bit as time went on.”
Rio posted a snap of himself holding up his OBE to Instagram as he proudly wrote: "Proud moment with my loved ones!"
