A source close to the reality star – who owns chihuahuas Captain, Buddy, Colin and Batman, and guard dog Blade – told the publication it was ‘rotten luck’ that Sharon was hit and that Katie is ‘in bits’.
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Katie and the vets for comment.
Katie’s dogs Rolo, Queenie and Sparkle died in recent years, while she has also lost a pet chameleon and a beloved horse.

Earlier this month, it was reported Katie was left ‘devastated’ after losing her pet Chihuahua Captain while on holiday, before reuniting with her pooch.
The former glamour model lost the pup during a getaway to Sandbanks in Dorset with her on-off fiancé, Carl Woods, 32.
A source told The Sun: ‘Katie was in bits. She thought Captain would be fine off his lead as they were staying on a friend’s private property which was very secure but he managed to run off.
‘Katie was devastated thinking she has lost him for good, or that he might get run over.’

After eight hours of searching the former Celebrity Big Brother housemate then received a phone call to say Captain had been found.
The pup had been taken to a local vet and they were able to identify him via his microchip.
Katie has come under fire in the past after a Change.Org petition gained traction in a bid to ban her from owning further animals. It had more then 24,500 signatures at the time of writing.

The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate was previously criticised by animal welfare charities in November 2021 after getting guard dog Okra following an incident which saw her dog Rolo suffocate at her home, while her Alsatian Sparkle was mowed down in February 2020, in shocking echoes of the death of her dog Queenie, who was killed in 2018.
Katie later revealed her shock after she was illegally advised to give her late puppy Rolo cannabis oil before he ‘suffocated to death in an armchair’.
The late French Bulldog, which was bought as a present for her daughter Princess on her 13th birthday, fell asleep under an electric chair after having the non-psychoactive cannabis derivative, and later ‘suffocated’ when the family’s nanny sat on the chair.

Shortly after this incident, which occurred in 2019, the petition was launched.
Katie told the Mirror she was unaware that it is illegal to give dogs the substance without a veterinary prescription, in accordance with the The Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013.
The description for the petition read: ‘A puppy has died in the last 24 hours in Katie prices care she bought this puppy for her 13 year old child 3 weeks ago. Which was killed in an accident no one witnessed.

‘In the last 5 years more animals have died from lack of care. Horses, dogs. cats, lizards, hedgehogs. This isn’t a single family tragedy. It’s a common thing in Katie price home. 2 dogs have been ran over.
It goes on: ‘Puppies were found dead drowning in a neglected swimming pool. A horse was run over on a motorway.
‘Animals just go missing in her home never to been seen again. Her guard dog broke into her neighbour’s garden and killed their chickens.’

‘Clothes dumped all over the place. Alger growing in her pool where her puppy drowned. She jokes about her mucky mansion.
‘But it ain’t a joke that animals are dying from her lack of care. Being left alone to meet untimely deaths and nobody is saying enough is enough and carry on selling her animals.
‘3 weeks ago bull dog puppy named Rolo was in her care. Nobody knows including her how it died. We need to stop this now no more animals need to die.’
MailOnline contacted Katie’s reps at the time for comment.
Tough: Rolo’s death came just months after her Alsatian Sparkle’s tragic death when she ran onto a busy road outside her previous home
Rolo’s death came just months after her Alsatian Sparkle’s tragic death when she ran onto a busy road outside her previous home.
One of Katie’s horses was killed on the same road, the A24 in Sussex, in 2017 after escaping from a field.
The same year, Katie’s chameleon Marvin died of a ‘broken heart’ when her children Junior and Princess went to stay with their father, her ex Peter Andre.
Katie suffered further tragedy in 2018 when her Alsatian Queenie was struck and killed by a delivery driver.
The star took to Instagram to pay tribute to her one-year-old German Shepherd, who was gifted to her by then-husband Kieran Hayler back in 2016.
She penned: ‘I’m absolutely Devastated heartbroken my faithful loving family dogs life Queenie has been shortened as she was killed by a heartless delivery driver who ran into our dog seeing her struggle and drove off without telling us and left her to die very disappointed a human being can be this heartless! (sic)’
Katie also had to give away her Alsatian Bear after he repeatedly attacked other animals.
